NO DOCTOR… DON’T DO THIS TO ME.

OH MY GOD HE’S CRYING. HE’S REALLY FREAKING CRYING.

WHYY???? OHMYGOD DOCTOR LET ME HUG YOU. </3

Ok, I’m trying not to post too many spoilers for series 7, but I don’t think this counts because Karen’s in her oversized coat and so they’re not actually filming, just reading the script. I’ll tag it anyway because OH MY GOODNESS, something upsetting has got to happen in this episode because MATT SMITH IS CRYING ABOUT IT.

But yeah. This was just upsetting and so I needed to share it with all of you. :(

My friend Carrie and I would always joke around and tell each other “I love you, despite.” No need to finish the phrase, because if you know, you know. And then I was thinking how true this is.

The more you get to know someone, spend time with them, learn about their personalities, their…

Life

Someone recently asked me about the concept of Eternal life; and it got me thinking. Because life forever is bound to get boring no matter what you do, especially since you’re bound to run out of things to do after a few centuries. I turned to scripture for an answer, and this is what I found.

Romans 6:23 says “Eternal life is the gift of God through Jesus Christ.”

That’s simple enough. Eternal life is a gift from God that was completely unwarranted by any actions we here could hope to perform, and Jesus is the medium through which that gift is given, and is in fact a gift Himself. That still doesn’t make eternal life seem any better, though, despite the fact that it’s a gift humans have coveted for centuries. I mean there isn’t exactly a gift receipt for eternal life. “Yeah can I get some store credit for this? Umm no there’s nothing wrong with it I just think it’s kind of boring and a lame present.” Obviously that wouldn’t be the case, but the fact remains that there must be some element of immortality and eternal life that makes it more appealing than chillin’ on a cloud with angels and harps… forever.

Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” -John 14:6.

At last we come to it. Jesus is the word, Jesus is unending love, unending joy. He’s everything good and wonderful that we could ever hope to attain. He is life. So when we’re promised eternal life through Jesus Christ, I think we far too often misunderstand and don’t fully grasp the all involved in that promise. We get to be with and a part of Jesus, experiencing unending and pure love, joy, excitement, pleasure and every other word in the universe and things there aren’t even words for, forever. That is the promise of salvation. That is what eternal life is. Eternal life is eternal Jesus.
